  • Sarll on a successful week…

"Obviously I was really pleased with the outcome on Saturday and Tuesday night - I thought our young players were marvellous, absolutely marvellous.

"We knew for the first hour that it would be fairly tight, we did it against Brighton on Tuesday night when teams come on and they are compact and sit off.

"We knew that physically we would excel in the latter stages of the game.

"But all credit to Nantwich, I like giving credit where credit is due, I thought they were terrific and Dave’s a good man and I wish him the absolute best for the rest of the season.

"It was just a nice way to finish the game; we were fairly strong in the end. The cup is about getting through and taking it to the next round and working again."

  • Sarll on Saturday's opponents, Notts County...

"The great thing about League Two is the range between 1 and 24 is very tight, very small. And Notts County are a decent side, very decent side in League Two within those ranges.

"It will be a tough game and they will have a strength about their play, just like I hope Kevin has identified a strength about our play.

"On the day if we are as good as we were Tuesday night, as infused as we were Tuesday night then we will have no problems.

"I still state we are a very good side and we are playing against another good side in this league, these games should be quite tight.

"There has obviously been a big improvement at their football club and the stability about it, under new ownership which makes them very competitive."

  • Sarll on a tough run of fixtures coming up…

"They are great games and obviously at the back end of last year we had a lot of these what I call ‘movers’ - the games that help you move up the league because you can replace teams.

"It is a fascinating battle this month and obviously off the back of last month which was poor, it is a good test for us.

"I know from my time here already that we would like to think we can rise to the occasion, especially at The Lamex.

"It could be a month where we see real productivity, but at the same time let’s not be cheap, let’s not throw away a hard earned point if they come our way against what are arguably the better sides in the league."
