  • Onto the game…

After Saturday's humiliating defeat at Luton Town, the task for Darren Sarll's men is simple - restore pride in the team and bounce back with a positive performance/result tonight.

Perspective must be kept though and despite the loss, Stevenage still have it all to play for as they sit in ninth place, just three points away from the play-off places.

Accrington meanwhile are enjoying a superb start to the season and are in fourth place, five points ahead of Boro.

Eight wins, two draws and just three defeats show the type of form that saw them reach the Sky Bet League Two Play-Offs two seasons ago.

Frontman Billy Kee has been their star in-front of goal, scoring seven so far this season.

  • Team news…

There are no fresh injury fears from Saturday's game but it wouldn't be a surprise to see a few changes made to the side.

Darren Sarll may wish to bring Jack King and Mark McKee back into the action early, after originally saying Saturday would be their projected return date.

  • View from both camps...

Stevenage boss, Darren Sarl…

“We have to work with what’s inside and if they have got anything about them they will come out and give the biggest punch and swing.

“We play a really good side on Tuesday by the way. When I was researching this game and watched Accrington v Luton, I thought Accrington were the better side for large parts of the game."

Accrington boss, John Coleman...

“I do expect a reaction. We are possibly playing them at the wrong time but we can’t judge them on one game, we will judge them over the season so far.

“They have had some good results and are high up in the table – they got a soft penalty given against them against Luton and sometimes these things go for you or against you.

“I am sure they won’t get too downbeat about it and they want to make a statement against us and that will make it a trickier game.

“There are no dummies in this league, there are lots of strong sides and everyone is capable of having an off-day.

“The teams that have the least off-days are the ones who get promoted. All teams have their own problems they can cause.”

  • Previous meetings...

Stevenage have the edge over Accrington across all our fixtures - 7 wins, 5 draws and 4 defeats between the two sides.

Our last meeting turned out to be a huge disapointment as a 3-0 home defeat in the final game of last season all but ended Boro's play-off hopes.
