  • Onto the game…

Defeat to Crewe last time out sunk Stevenage in the cruelest of fashions, as Jordan Bowery left it until the last second to score the only goal of the game.

The result came on the back of three straight wins though and was only the third defeat of the season for Boro who sit just three points behind Luton.

Luton are the form team in the division – unbeaten in six league games including five wins during that spell.

Nathan Jones’ side have only lost twice this season and are looking prime for another tilt at promotion. A 2-0 win at high-flying Accrington last weekend further strengthened their credentials as one of the top teams in the league.

  • Team news…

Terence Vancooten, Ben Kennedy & Dale Gorman all returned from their international break fit, healthy and available for selection.

Matty Godden & Tom Pett are both on the edge in terms of their chances of featuring tomorrow after Godden limped off v Crewe and Pett missed out due to a knock.

Jack King and Mark McKee are both edging closer to a return to the first team after another successful week back in training.

  • View from both camps...

Stevenage boss, Darren Sarll…

"It is always a good game and obviously we have had decent experiences there up to this point, but we also know what it has taken to earn those experiences and those highlights across our seasons in the past.

"We are very excited about it and very much looking forward to it, but we do know it is going be one of those tough games in the season fixtures.

“What we don't want to do is make the same mistakes. Last year is gone now, what we want to do is learn from every single thing we could have done better last year.

"I.e. I very much hope they don't outfight us this year because we have some real winners in our side and this is a better group this year."

  • Previous meetings...

After seeing Luton dominate the first half of fixtures between the two sides, Stevenage have made a comeback under Darren Sarll having won three games in a row against our Bedfordshire neighbours.

A win in Saturday's game would level up the overall head to head record, Stevenage currently on 4 wins, 1 draw and 5 defeats.
