Video & Quotes from the boss...

  • Sarll on a strong start to the season...

“We seem to have a nice balance at the minute, a nice blend. Everyone has been in a decent place and I was happy to take a load off some of the senior players this week with the Tuesday game.  That will be of benefit to us because our game is all about energy.

“There has been a lot of progress and it has been a decent start for us. We are still very disappointed about the points we dropped against Lincoln and Swindon because of the manner but we are pleased overall.

“We just want to be as competitive as possible and stay there as long as possible.”

  • Sarll on how he expects the team to keep getting better...

“I am still not at a point where I am thinking, ‘that was really comprehensive today chaps, that was really outstanding.’ I don’t think I am there yet which is probably why I am underplaying the position we are in.

“The players still know that I think there is a progression to our play that we haven’t seen yet.

“They are only doing what I, the supporters and the club internally expect now, after last year."

  • Sarll on the need to change things up...

“Physically we should be in great shape because of the rest I could give to players the other night.

"Everyone knows that Kennedy is away and we have had a few knocks and niggles on the training ground so it won’t be the same team that started against Port Vale at the weekend.

“I am very comfortable that anyone who comes in understands the work ethic needed, and I am very comfortable that they will know their role and responsibilities.

“It might be the chance for someone else to get the shirt and keep it. Kennedy in particular knows that when he goes away he opens the door to nick his place."
