Video & Quotes from the boss...

  • Sarll on a disappointing day that unravelled during a 20 minute first half spell…

“We had a couple of early chances and I thought we took control until we lost control.

“You just look at the situations that we were in that needed a little bit of quality, whether that be a defensive quality or an offensive quality. The shot for example that hits the post, it is a technical quality.

“We had two chances to clear from the first goal and then our quality of defending again was awful, absolutely awful. We became too open, too exposed.

“Then we had a mistake from the set-play from an experienced player getting caught with a block and we are 3-0 down.

“In the second half we had four opportunities of forward v the goalkeeper and we needed a bit of quality there.

“When you don’t have that quality and you don’t take those opportunities, it makes for a very, very miserable afternoon for everyone.

“It was an awful first half that started brightly but we are really disappointed, not just today but with our form.”

  • Sarll on getting out of this poor run of form…

“We just have to keep working. We have seen it before, I am over a year in now and we know you have peaks and troughs.

“I haven’t looked at the league table but we are probably still in a healthy position where we can still have a go. There is still an awful long way to go and we didn’t start our ascent last year until the end of January.

“We will keep working away, it is a real honest group. Sometimes too honest and a little nice but we will keep working away, absolutely.

“We need to make sure we attack next Saturday and attack all the doubters. I love this club to the moon and back and we are being doubted which is sad to say.

“We will come back fighting strong, we are very much like that.”
