Video & Quotes from the boss...

  • Sarll on a frustrating evening...

"I don’t think there is anyone in The Lamex tonight that’s any different really. I think we controlled large parts of the first half. As soon as they got their goal it obviously made things difficult in terms of the way they set up as they defended deep.

"What we haven't got here is the option to go and use the space above the players, because we haven't got that authentic big man, who can take the ball high and play with his head or his chest. We have to try and keep being patient and passing it.

"In our endeavour in trying to get the second goal tonight, that has actually been the reason why we have conceded. You look at that, and our seven goals (against) have come from individual errors.

"Maybe not the second goal against Newport, but a lot of the goals we have conceded are just big errors that are - at times - from players who are yet to hit full form."

  • Sarll on Danny Newton's goal...

"It was terrific. Danny’s technical play is getting better and better, and you can see a little bit more belief about him that allows him to be able to play and receive the ball in tighter areas than maybe he was doing previously.

"I was delighted for Danny. No one begrudges Danny of anything he gets because of, we all see it, how hard he works. It is just a shame he took a little bit of a groin stain there at the end, so we're going to try and wrap him up."

  • Sarll on there being more to come from this team...

"We know there is more in us. We expect more from us.

"Some players need eight or nine games from the start of the season to get that form, to find their legs, to find that performance level. When we find that, we will be absolutely alright.

"The fact that we are disappointed taking a point at home on a horrible Tuesday night with horrible weather conditions. That consistency that I am after - I think that’s three draws already - means we keep adding points. After the first seven games with 12 points, it is okay."
