Video & Quotes from the boss...

  • Sarll on the game as a whole…

“I think probably every supporter here for Stevenage would concur when I say that it was absolutely madness the way the game and performance was in control, and the manner in which the set-plays and penalty came about. It was madness, absolutely madness.

“You give a foul away in the final third against Lincoln and they have got a million and one set-plays. The penalty again comes from giving a silly set-play away.

“I thought 11 v 11 we were miles the better side, in all shapes and sizes. I think 11 v 10 they got themselves on top and then 10 v 10 I thought we got back on top again.

“It was very disappointing. It was just the reaction and the manner of how we controlled the game being a man up.”

  • Sarll on Wilkinson’s red card…

“I need to see it again. I can understand why the referee has done what he has done in that moment. Luke is my player and a good man so I want to make sure I make the right diagnosis in that scenario.

“If he has shown petulance towards the opponent then it is a massive lack of discipline. No-one suffers more than his teammates because he has been a real positive performer for us and they suffer because of it.

“He knows that, we are all human beings. He is a passionate boy, he has made a mistake and he will obviously have to take the consequences of that.”

  • Sarll on getting ready for Tuesday night…

“We all know from within that we should be on 14 points from 6 games, rather than 11. We gave ourselves a little bit of a cushion because of the outstanding away performances of late.

“We will have to have that real intensity and thrust, regardless of our physical condition when we come here on Tuesday night.

“We have to dust down, recover and get set for what is now an even bigger three points on Tuesday night.”
