Video & Quotes from Stevenage's #9...

  • Revell on a good Easter weekend…

“I think it is a great result, but one that has been coming as well.

“Obviously the 0-0 at Grimsby was probably disappointing, but I still think the performance was better.

“Away from home you would take a clean sheet and it was just something that did not drop.

“Whereas today I thought the first 10 minutes was maybe a little bit against us, but after that I thought we controlled the game.

“To be honest to concede was disappointing, but I think we probably could have gone on and maybe scored a few more.

“But we are delighted with the result and also the performance.

“One thing that the manager said to us was go out there and show the people here that we wanted to put in a performnace, because there have been some disappointing games and hopefully we have done that today."

  • Revell on scoring his first goals for the club...

“It has been frustrating to be honest with you. Anyone who knows me, knows how frustrating this time has been with the sending off.

“I think when you come in a centre forward you want to hit the ground running, like I said it has been hard, but you have got to keep working hard and keep going.

“Sometimes your hard work pays off and then you score. So, I am delighted with the first one from Kenners and obviously the second one is very unselfish of Danny Newton.

“He is on his hatrick and he squares it and I think that sums him up as a player.

“His first thought is the fact he just wants win a game of football and I have kissed him several times I think since then!

“I think now with Matty Godden coming back as well, we have got some real force there. Kenners coming back in and showing what he can do, that is only good for the club."

  • Revell on strike-partner, Danny Newton's performance...

“I do not think you will see any better (goal) all season at any game.

“I think it shows what he is about, he is a powerful lad and like I say, I think his general game since I have been here has improved leaps and bounds as well.

“He deserved his goals today as well and like I said, I think the whole team did.

“As a group we played very well and that is how we want to play, that is how we want to be.

“Obviously with the new gaffer coming in he has showed us and told us how he wants to play, I think we saw that today.

“We were on the front foot and it was a great day for everyone because we needed that at home and now we have to carry it on for the rest of the season."
