Video & Quotes from the boss ahead of Saturday's visit to Newport County...
- Dino reflects on a good win against Barnet...
"It was a really important game for us, for the town it was important and it was a local derby which should never get underestimated.
“I think I emphasised that last week to the players and they responded to it really well and it was an emphatic win.
“It was good to see the goalscorers scoring goals, good to see us pressing on the front foot, playing on the front foot, that is how I want us to be.
“Disappointed to concede the goal, but I would have taken the scoreline before the game.
“That is exactly the type of football I want to bring in to the football club. I want the fans to enjoy it, I want edge of the seat football. I want them to get on their toes and support the team and play on the front foot because that is what they want to see.
“I am a fan of football and I am fan of the club. I want to see my team scoring goals, winning and attacking everybody playing against us.
“Obviously, I base the team on a good solid defensive base first, but I like attacking players, I like players with energy, I like dynamic players.
“I said on Saturday after the game any team will struggle to cope with us, when we put all those attacking players together because they are quite a force."
- Dino on heading back to Newport...
“Obviously they are having a brilliant season, I am delighted to see them do well.
“I love Mike Flynn, I have a good relationship with him, I have got a good relationship with lots of the players there, I have got a very good relationship with the supporters as well.
“I had a great time at Newport, I felt it was a brilliant club but that is probably the first time I leave a club with no resentment because we gave everything, and we were poor.
“As a management team we were poor and we did not do justice for the club and we were rightly sacked because were not good enough for that job at that time and it was difficult for us.
“It is good to see them do well this season, they have bounced back.
“I still think they have got a chance of the play-offs, so I am sure Saturday will be their last chance.
“They will be up for it, it is a tough place Newport, always has been, the fans get behind them and hopefully we can keep them quiet."
- Dino on a strong looking squad...
“Same as last week, I am going to check on McKee tomorrow. Ben Wilmot is back with us this week, I am checking on one or two things.
“Bowditch is injured, but there is no news since the Barnet game.
“Matty has obviously been out for a while, I have had to manage him. He came on and made a really positive difference to be fair in the 10-15 minutes he played.
“But he has only trained a couple of times, so start to with him on Saturday - maybe, maybe not. I cannot tell you that yet.
“Hopefully he will have a full week this week and we will be in a better position to find out tomorrow."
