Fancy a career in football?

Local youngsters aged 15-17 have the upcoming opportunity to enrol into the Stevenage FC development and college schemes, which includes full time education in a professional football environment.
The football club has two upcoming trials for potential students to attend. The first being at Marriott’s Sports Academy on the 21st of April and second at Goffs-Churchgate Academy on the 28th of April.
In recent years both schemes have had significant success, with Macsen Fraser coming out of the Marriott's scheme, now a second year scholar at the football club.
Meanwhile, Jason Rice - now a member of the Cheshunt First Team - graduated last season from the Cheshunt scheme.
Both dates will include a presentation prior to the trials as a way of informing students and parents about what the scheme and course will include.
All participants are to bring their own training kit and shin pads. Both trials will be played on 3G surfaces, so be sure to bring suitable footwear for the pitches.
Trialists are also advised to bring their own drinks and refreshment for the day. Any other details on what to bring to the day will be showcase on the online registration forms.
