Excerpts from the Chairman's Programme notes ahead of Easter Monday's derby...

  • On tomorrow’s game…

“The match was looking to be a very interesting encounter – GW against Dino – but the sudden sacking of GW heralded the arrival of Martin Allen, who has plenty of experience with Barnet having managed them on numerous occasions.

“They will be fighting for their survival, but so will we so it should be a great game of football!

“There are a lot of things we need to prove as we go into the last half a dozen games and this is one of the more important games.

“It is Dino’s second home game as manager and I would love to get a convincing win.”

  • On recent news…

“Those of you watching our press releases will note that Alex Tunbridge is coming back next season as CEO and Darren Sarll has been retained in charge of our youth development.

“Both are big management jobs, central to our continuing success as a business and I’m delighted to have such a young team fighting to build success for Stevenage FC.”
