The boss ahead of Checkatrade clash...
Off the back of a busy schedule to kick-off the new campaign, Dino Maamria says that he will be making changes to the team for Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy game against Swansea City U21s.
Stevenage have played six games inside the opening three weeks of the season with many of the players featuring heavily in the starting line-ups.
Speaking after the final whistle of Saturday’s defeat to Yeovil, Maamria says that Tuesday’s game is the perfect opportunity to freshen up the team and provide some added competition ahead of the weekend’s big derby game against Cambridge United.
“I have probably picked my side for Tuesday already," Maamria said. "Those lads that played today have been Saturday-Tuesday, Saturday-Tuesday, a lot of games played so early into the season.
“I am going to make changes, I have good players that haven’t been playing, they are all going to get game time and hopefully they have an opportunity to grab a shirt for next Saturday.”
Stevenage kick-off against Swansea City U21s at 7:45pm on Tuesday 28th August 2018. Tickets are available for just £10 adults, £5 concessions & £3 for U12s.
