Excerpts from the Chairman's programme notes...

"We took a backwards step last Saturday, both in the result and the performance. Dino said the players were so disappointed afterwards and I am glad to hear that because I was disappointed watching it, as were our fans that travelled, I suspect.

"When it is good you call it and hand out the plaudits. When it is not, we will remember that this is a new team that has to blend and learn how to get results together.

"Dino and his team will no doubt take the positives from the past 5 EFL games and learn from them. I get the feeling there is a really interesting mix of youth and experience in the squad that can provide the robust, resilient performances we seek, combined with the excitement and flair we demand.

"Dino just has to find the magic blend and I think we could have a real chance this season.

"Thus far we are 1.6 points per game and we need to get back to that 2 points per game average and be around the top teams, before we enter the FA Cup competition that can sometimes define a season.

"Back to the game – a local derby is always a great occasion. I love these games so let’s get behind our lads and see if we can get back to winning ways."
