Video and Quotes from Dino Maamria after an exciting season opener...
- Dino on the game overall...
"It was an entertaining game for everyone, too entertaining for me. I like us going forward, but I do not like us defending so we must improve on that. In the second half when we changed shape I think we were fantastic. Although we played twenty minutes with ten men, I think we looked very, very threatening. Especially when Danny Newton came on, we should have scored a third really.
"We could have won today and started brilliantly like we started last season, but then we didn’t finish the season that great, so a point today will get us started.
"I think it is a good point against a good promoted team and again, with ten men as well. Now we will kick on and keep getting better in every department of the game."
- Dino on our missed chances...
"I could not believe some of the chances that did not go in from where I was. Danny Newton had a couple, I think Revs had another one.
"James Ferry was fantastic when he came on, he gave us that lift we needed and so did Danny Newton and Sonupe.
"But we will keep building, I think it is a positive performance overall. Like I said, I don’t want to be conceding two goals at home, definitely not, and we need to work on that side of the game."
- Dino on the Hunt sending off...
"You look at the first one and he clearly got the ball, it went all the way to the corner flag. So, you could give it, you could not, I think what the referees are doing at this stage of the season is they are trying to stomp their authority early doors and he gave them that chance.
"We talked about discipline before the game in the changing room. It is the first game of the season and you want to show your passion and aggression and sometimes you go over-board. But we will move on from that, the squad will cope with that and I think the negative is conceding the two goals we conceded."
