- Onto the game…
After defeats to Lincoln City at home and Swindon Town away, Boro are looking to recover their form with a win at Sixfields.
Currently sitting in 10th place, Stevenage remain only three points outside of the play-off places, five points ahead of Northampton in 14th.
Maamria's men will be hoping to rekindle the away form of earlier in the season, with results currently showing five defeats, three wins and two draws, the last away win coming at Cheltenham six weeks ago.
The games are coming thick and fast as we head towards Christmas and it is clear that in-order to keep amongst the play-off pack, the results leading into the New Year will be vital.
Two defeats and two draws in his first four games of the new campaign saw Justin Edinburgh lose his job, making way for Keith Curle who departed Carlisle in May.
Since the slow start the Cobblers have picked up form and are now sitting comfortably ten points outside the relegation spaces.
Northampton have proved to be tough to beat at home this season, with only two defeats and eleven goals conceded in ten games.

- View from the camp…
“What I know about them is that they have got a top 10 League One squad of players."
“Keith Curle is very experienced at this level. He has organised them, galvanised them, they have turned the corner and they are winning games now. It is going to be a very difficult game."
“I think the focus this week shifts onto us and about what we intend to do on Saturday. Yes we respect them, yes it is away from home but we do not worry about that, we worry about us this week.”
“Kurtis (Guthrie) is back, good to have him back. It is good to have (Danny) Newton back as well. He played his part in the second half last week and was very good when he came on."
“It is going to be a busy period for us and we have got to keep those key players fit. If you compare us now to a couple of weeks ago, we have got two or three more bodies, so we are in a better position."
