Quotes from Luke Amos following the 2-0 defeat at Notts County...

  • Amos on a tough result to take...

“We are very disappointed. Considering how we played at times, we are all gutted to lose that game

“We controlled most of the game but just weren’t good enough in the final third.

"Any attempts we had went straight at the keeper and we have to do more to win games. It isn’t like we have been outplayed in any game since I have been here, but we are getting stung at the moment.

“It's fine margins, they were better in the boxes and made the most of their few opportunites. I don't think they looked like scoring all day, they put the ball in the box but we dealt with everything they threw at us until those few minutes.

“The game was there for us today which is why it's extra frustrating."

  • Amos on his first six weeks at the club...

“I am enjoying playing but I need to ensure I keep my spot and earn it. Whilst I am getting games and it is good for my development, I came here to win and I want to be a part of a winning team.

"I feel like I have done OK on a personal note but there is still plenty of games left in the season, so I just want to keep progressing and hopefully help the team to climb up the table."

  • Amos on next weekend's challenge v Mansfield...

"It will be good to be back at home. Last weekend we had a great result and obviously it was a special one for me.

"That is how we play when we are at our best and take our chances. We will train hard this week and make sure we are prepared for Mansfield. We need to get the three points and with the home support behind us, I am sure we will."
