Quotes from the boss ahead of our trip to the Madejski...

  • Sarll on tomorrow’s big FA Cup replay…

"I always think we are better when we play against football teams rather than those that are built on forcing errors and destruction.

"Whether you are a senior or young player, there should be an organic motivation within everyone to get us into the next round.

"If we can get there, whether it be Sheffield Wednesday or Carlisle, it will be a good challenge for us and one that isn’t so daunting that we are only in it for the money.

“It will be a good footballing test for us and we are pleased to come into it having broken our duck away from home.

“There is a certain magic to this competition so you never know, hopefully that will be evident tomorrow night."

  • Sarll on what will be needed in order to progress…

"There are lots of theories about replays when you are the underdog. Many say that you only get once chance and the replay becomes a foregone conclusion.

“We don’t feel like that. We feel like that if we can impose ourselves in the same way that we did at the Lamex, we can cause an upset.

"We know that physically it will be one of those games where the tanks will have to be emptied in order to get those opportunities.

“Our group has been built on its athleticism though so this is why they have been put together – to go to places like the Madejski to try and run over the opposition.”

  • Sarll on the latest team news…

"We have had unbelievable illness and injuries over the past few days.

“McKee has been ill for the last 5 days, Alex Samuel couldn't make it on Saturday through injury and illness.

“Jamie Gray took a knock on Saturday, Whelpdale has an ongoing ankle problem and Dale Gorman suffered a prickly knee injury which we are yet to diagnose.

“We are thin on the ground.”
