The man himself reflects on a historic achievement...
“It will take a little while to sink in and it is something that I would have never dreamt of when I first came to the football club.
"I am very proud to break Smudger's record. It is something that not many people can achieve in their career and it has been a really enjoyable one.
“I have loved every minute of it; it is a really proud moment for me and my family.
“It is not just the work I put in, it is my family as well.
“It took a lot of sacrifices over the last 11 years but it has been worth it. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and I am hoping still I have a little longer left.
"I would like to thank the Chairman, all the manager's I have played under over the years, my teammates and most importantly, my family and the fans."
