Welcome to Stevenage...
Stevenage FC have agreed terms with Fleetwood Town for the transfer of Alex Reid.
The 22 year old striker has signed after scoring twice at St Albans before starting in the wins against Portsmouth and St Neots this pre-season.
“It goes without saying that I am delighted to sign,” Reid said. “Now it is all down to me and putting the hard work in.
“I can’t wait to get going for real now and begin this new chapter in my career.”
Manager Dino Maamria says the striker has plenty to offer.
“We knew about Alex for a while. We watched him out on loan at Wrexham last season and he will add pace to our forward-line which is something we need.
“He is still young, a pure athlete and there is loads of room for him to improve as a player.
“He is a good professional, a great kid, he wants to learn and he is a real Stevenage type of player.”
You can next watch Alex in action this Saturday at 2pm as Stevenage take on Coventry at the Lamex Stadium.
