Video & Quotes from the boss following Saturday's 3-2 win over Pompey...

  • Maamria on a good all-round display...

"Bits of it went very well, bits of it didn’t go as well. As you would expect in our second game of pre-season, we are still trying to see certain organisation. We are not there yet, but we are getting there.

"What looked pleasing was our attacking force - every time we went forward we looked dangerous.

"We looked dangerous from set plays, especially in the first half and it was pleasing because we scored three goals against one of League One’s top clubs.

"On the other side of it we conceded two goals, we are better than that. Obviously, that will come from what we do at the training ground, and by the start of the season that will have changed."

  • Maamria on Kennedy's first half performance...

"Kenners was awesome. It is good to see Ben Kennedy fit, ready to go, back to his best again. That was my challenge to him when I took the job.

"We are getting Ben Kennedy back to the Ben Kennedy that I left in 2015, and hopefully he showed today what he can do."

  • Maamria on a terrific outing from the youngsters in the second half...

"We showed good energy and were very organised, much more organised I thought. We played terrific football and scored two great goals as well.

"There is a lot of promising young players we have got there and I told them at the end of the game, it doesn’t matter the age, if they show their potential they will play for me.

"The one for me is Arthur (Iontton), he was outstanding, and if he carries on playing he will be on my team sheet without a doubt.

"The other one is Andronicos. He has had a difficult two years, and hopefully I am going to take him under my wing, develop and make him the player that he can be. League Two defenders won’t be able to handle him if he keeps developing the way he has been over the last few weeks.

"He showed glimpses today of what he can do, and it is exciting for those young lads out there that they’re going to get a chance."
