Dino Maamria has confirmed the following additions to his management team ahead of the 2018/2019 season...

Starting work this week at the club’s First Team training complex at Bragbury End will be both new and familiar faces as preparations for pre-season come to a head.

First of all the club would like to welcome Assistant Coach, Simon Hollyhead to Stevenage FC.

The 46 year old has recently returned to England to undertake the FA Pro Licence after 7 years working for three of the top football clubs in Scandinavia.

Hollyhead worked as Assistant Manager at Malmo - winning 2 league titles in the top flight of Swedish football – before moving to SK Brann in Norway and Odense Boldklub in the Danish Superliga. Hollyhead also has a Masters degree in Sports Science.

Welcome back to Assistant Coach, Jason Goodliffe. Jason needs no introduction to Boro fans having captained the club during his 6 years spell, making over 150 appearances. Goodliffe also previously worked with Maamria as a coach at Stevenage between 2013-2015 under the stewardship of Graham Westley.

Goodliffe’s main focus will be working on the team’s defensive organisation and studying upcoming opponents, whilst Hollyhead will be tasked with the teams attacking play and position specific development.

We also wish a warm return to Jon Ashton who joins the club as Fitness Coach to support Craig Smith specialising in the team’s strength and conditioning.

Ashton worked with Maamria last season at Nuneaton and will be well known to Stevenage supporters for his strong performances at the heart of defence in Boro’s golden era of promotions and silverware.
