Video & Quotes from the boss ahead of Saturday's trip to Cheltenham...
- On taking away the positives from Tuesday’s point…
“Was I disappointed? Yes I was hoping to get three points and I think overall the performance was good enough to win the game and we have got to focus on the process.
“We have done everything possible to win that game, sometimes you come up a bit short and we will take that but the positives were we kept a clean sheet, our sixth of the season and we got a point which you always want to pick up as you go along.
“Also we had (one of) the youngest debutantes for Stevenage Football Club, Liam Smyth, who has just turned 17 at centre forward and you can see he has got a bright future.”
- On the keys to victory…
“The keys are that we take a lot of positives from the last few games, a little bit more end product and to improve our game in the final third – that final pass or finish. Because if we get that we will be a fantastic team.
“One of the big things is since the Cambridge game is I wanted to play more football. Better quality and better pace of passing. I don’t want slow build up play, I want to play on the front foot and we have done a lot of that since.
“Yes we haven’t scored as many goals as we would have liked to but it is a process and I am not worrying about that. As a defence we look solid, we defend well, we stay in games and we keep clean sheets. Going forward we create a lot of chances which is never a bad thing as any minute things will click and we will be scoring four or fives.”
