Video & Quotes from the boss following Tuesday's defeat...

  • Maamria on a disapointing result...

“We were very, very poor first half. Maybe the traveling caught up with us, we didn’t travel well today. It took us a while to get there, the day felt it was rushed and our first half performance reflected that.

“Although in the second half we were terrific - we dominated the game but we just couldn’t get that cutting edge.”

  • Maamria on the officiating...

“I am not complaining about the second yellow but the first was a shambles, really. Luther got booked for trying to keep the ball in play. He booked him for kicking it away but he was trying to keep it in play. The biggest decision of the night though was when we had a cross, Alex Revell headed the ball, Moxey the left-back had his arm in the air almost like volley ball and it went out for a corner. The ref gave a goal-kick.”

“I thought the referee lost control of the game and that is disappointing but what disappointed me the most was that our first half performance wasn’t good - that is why we lost the game.”

  • Maamria on turning things round for Saturday...

“We have three or four days to get to Colchester and it will be a tough game. We are back home, we are good at home and hopefully we have a big home support on Saturday. We need them to get behind the lads and we will bounce back. The most important thing is if we perform like we did in the second half, we will get the right result.

“I also want to thank the fans who turned up tonight, I know it is hard for them as well. On Saturday they went all the way to Carlisle, turned around and didn’t even see the game. I want to thank everyone of them who turned up, I am sorry about the result and the first half performance but we will bounce back on Saturday.”
