Goodliffe: "It is a good opportunity"

Jason Goodliffe previews Tuesday's game...

Ahead of tonight’s Herts Senior Cup fixture at Sawbridgeworth Town, First Team Assistant Coach Jason Goodliffe has spoken about the game and the club's aims for the competition this season.

“We are very much trying to breed a winning habit and mentality at the club so every game we play we would like to win. We want to progress through each stage with a view to winning the competition, of course.

"Obviously the league is our priority but we very much want to win tonight and I very much hope each of the players that are involved will feel the same."

Goodliffe has also confirmed that the teamsheet will see a number of Academy prospects involved, along with more senior pro's.

“There will be a mixture of youngsters and squad players. We will certainly use three or four from within the Academy to start and the squad will roughly be half and half.

“It is a good opportunity for the players in the squad that haven’t been getting so much game time recently.

“It is a chance for them to get some minutes and to put themselves in the thoughts of the manger with regards to the weekend’s game."

Kick-off is at 7:45pm at Crofters Stadium and tickets are available at £7 for Adults, £4 for Concessions and £1 for Under 16s.
