Video & Quotes from the boss following Saturday's defeat...
- On a bad day all round...
"I thought we were poor. It was a big game for us and I thought we were ready. We went out there and conceded what was almost a comical goal in the 16th minute. You cannot do that because goals change games.
"They have been low on confidence (Cambridge), they haven’t been scoring a lot of goals, they have been conceding a lot of goals, and when we gifted them a goal like that, it put their tales up.
"I think that was the changing moment in the game, it threw us back a little bit and inspired them as they had something to hang on to. That is what derby games are about, you have got to keep your head, concentrate on the job in hand and I thought that goal changed the momentum of the game."
- On owing the supporters a better performance...
"We weren't very good with the ball so we didn't create anything until a few things at the end of the game.
"As a team, from back to front, we didn't do what we were supposed to do. It is very, very disappointing for me and for the fans who turned up in their numbers today, expecting a performance. We owe them a performance big-time. Like I said, it was a flat performance in a big derby game."
- On putting things right next Saturday...
"We will put a lot of work in on the training ground. It has been Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday for the last five weeks I think and that always limits you in terms of the work you want to do, especially with the travelling we have been doing.
"We have not done a lot on the training ground, so it is great for us to get these few weeks where have got Saturday - Saturday
"It gives us a chance to re-group, get fitter again and start focusing on things that we need to do better when we are with the ball and without the ball."
