Excerpts from the Chairman's Programme Notes...

  • On Turnstile News...

“Off the pitch we are doing so much this season to transform our Club. You can see the new North Stand starting to rise and in the Summer we will be changing all the home turnstiles over to new digital turnstiles with swipe card and card recognition software. This will be the start of a continual upgrade of the facilities for the comfort and convenience of our fans."

  • On a New-Era...

"Alongside this will be the launch of a new, modern logo and branding for next season. We have long thought our crest was overly busy and old fashioned and wanted a design which was easier to replicate and reproduce on digital, on production materials and on textiles.

"New branding is not something you do often, and Alex Tunbridge has driven this relentlessly, working with interested parties and fan focus groups with a brief to create a brand that represented the town, the club within the community and the wider Hertfordshire area on a commercial level.

"We also wanted it simple. We really like the new branding. It is crisp, clean, modern and delivers all the points we asked for. The new crest will be unveiled on the 1st June and you will start to see this come into use throughout summer and hopefully it will be the start of a new chapter of football success for us, both on and off the pitch."

  • On further Summer plans...

"This re-branding and new North Stand will also hopefully sit alongside a share issue this Summer where, for the first time ever, you will be able to buy shares in Stevenage FC. More about this at the end of the season!"
