Stevenage Community Trust named as Charity Partner

29 August 2019

Stevenage FC is pleased to announce Stevenage Community Trust as its Official Charity Partner for the 2019/20 season...

Established in 1989 and about to celebrate its 30th anniversary, Stevenage Community Trust was set up by the first female Mayor of Stevenage Hilda Lawrence, with the aim to help those less fortunate in the town and surrounding villages. Since its establishment 30 years ago, the Trust has distributed grants totalling over £1.2m to local charities, community groups, individuals and families in crisis.

The partnership with the Club for the 2019/20 season will see the two organisations work in together to increase the awareness of the charity, highlight its fantastic work in the local community and help raise further funds.

A series of fundraising events and activities will be announced throughout the season and we hope the club’s players, staff and supporters will be able to assist in creating a successful charitable partnership.

Chief Executive Alex Tunbridge commented on the partnership by stating, "We are proud to be working with Stevenage Community Trust throughout the course of the season. The Trust is an established local charity which relies on the support of key business organisations from the town and we are delighted to join them in supporting worthy causes within our local community."

Further details regarding the Club’s charitable events in partnership with Stevenage Community Trust will be announced in due course.
