Moses Makasi spoke with enthusiasm and vigour upon signing on loan for Stevenage Football Club...
The West Ham midfielder arrives at the club off the back of a PL2 Player of the Month nomination and after spending time with the Stevenage squad, he says he can’t wait to make the most of the opportunity.
“I am very excited. It is another opportunity to showcase what I can do,” Makasi said. “I trained this morning, the lads were brilliant with me and I just can’t wait to get going on Saturday.
“It (Training) was very, very good to be fair. The lads were brilliant with me, welcoming. I scored a couple of goals so I am starting to feel good again.
“I am a box to box midfielder, I love a tackle, heading, I have energy. I just want to get out there and show the fans what I can do.
“The Manager said he needs a central midfielder with energy and legs and I thought ‘I can give you that’. Hopefully I can get in the squad on Saturday to help out the team.”
A loan spell at Plymouth last season was cut short due to injury but Makasi says that the exposure to the EFL has left him wanting more.
“I went out on loan to Plymouth last season and sadly tore my meniscus but now I am hungry and have that taste for more First Team football.
“I am in good form so hopefully I can carry on here at Stevenage this season for our play-off push.”
