What's On: King of Herts Boxing Show

All the vital information you need to know ahead of Saturday's big event...

  • Fighting Talk...

The WBO World Super Middleweight Title will be contested at The Lamex Stadium this Saturday as Billy Joe Saunders and Shefat Isufi go head-to-head in the Main Event.

Also on the bill is unbeaten heavyweight Joe Joyce who takes on former World Title Challenger Alexander Ustinov, whilst British Super-Bantamweight Champion Brad Foster faces Commenwealth Title Holder Ashley Lane, with both belts up for grabs.

Chingford prospect Boy Jones Jr will fight for the vacant WBO Youth World Lightweight Title and Lisa Whiteside will be making her professional debut against Danielle Hodges. In total, there are 14 fights on the card. Click here for the full running order

  • Tickets...

Tickets for Saturday's big show are available from The Lamex Stadium Ticket Office between 2pm-8pm on Saturday 18th May. Tickets are still available for £40, £50, £75, £100, £150 and Hospitality Packages from £250. It is requested that event-goers arrive in good time to allow for security. Please note, all U16s must be accompanied by an Adult.

All ticket collections are to take place from the Ticket Office between 2pm-9pm. 

Collectors are asked to bring relevant ID upon collection and all Wheelchair Disabled Ticket Holders must collect a wristband to accompany their ticket from the Ticket Office Collection Point on the day of the event.

Press Passes are to be collected from the Club Shop on Saturday.

  • Travel...

The Lamex Stadium couldn't be easier to find or get to. If you are arriving by car, simply leave the A1 at Junction 7 and head straight across the first roundabout, taking you to The Lamex Stadium.

Travelling by Train? Stevenage Railway Station is either a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away from The Lamex Stadium. A Taxi Rank is positioned outside the Station.

Stevenage Railway Station is on the East Coast Main Line and has regular services running between London and the North. Great Northern trains run between London Kings Cross (from 25 mins) and Peterborough (50 mins). Many East Coast mainline services also stop at Stevenage providing travel options between London, Leeds, York, Newcastle and Edinburgh. 

Trains are running every 30 minutes before and after the fight from both London Kings Cross and Peterborough, with the last service departing Stevenage Railway Station at 12:32am for LGX and 12:46am for PBO. To search for train times, please click here.

  • Parking...

Fight fans are encouraged to use the various affordable pay & display options in the Town Centre to park up ahead of the event. The Lamex Stadium is just a 20 minute walk away or alternatively, the Arriva Shuttle Bus service (see below) may be of interest. For all relevant information, including location and prices, please click here.

Fairlands Valley Car Park will be first-come-first-served and vehicles are to be left here at the owner's risk. Meanwhile, the nearby Roaring Reg Retail Park will be enforcing a zero-tolerance approach to anyone parking on their property.

  • Arriva Shuttle Bus...

Once parked in town/arrived at the Station, get to The Lamex Stadium using the Arriva Shuttle Bus service for just £1.50 return. The bus is running from Stevenage Bus/Railway Station every 25 minutes from 5:10pm until 9:10pm to get you to the ground, then from 10:30pm until Midnight after the fight finishes.

  • Food & Drink...

There will be a Food and Drink Village at the North Side of the pitch, including Burgers, Noodles, Hog Roast, German Sausages and BBQ options. There will also be a 54 metre bar which runs the width of the pitch and fight fans can pay cash or card. A token system will be in operation and please note, the bars will close at 10:30pm.

  • Merchandise...

Official Frank Warren & Queensbury Promotions Merchandise including Printed Programmes will be available to purchase from a number of outlets positioned around the Food & Drink Village of the stadium.

  • Timings...

2:00pm: Club Shop/Ticket Office Opens

3:00pm: Turnstiles into Stadium Open (Turnstiles 2-4 & 17-20)

3:30pm: First fight starts (subject to change)

5:10pm: Arriva Shuttle Bus begins operation

8:00pm: Final Collections from Ticket Office 

9:10pm: Arriva Shuttle Bus service suspends

10:30pm: Main Event Starts (subject to change)

10:30pm: Drink outlets CLOSE, food outlets remain open

10:40pm: Arriva Shuttle Bus restarts operation from North Stand Bus Stop

12:00am: Arriva Shuttle Bus service ends

  • Prohibited Items...

All persons and bags are subject to search and the following items are not allowed into the stadium:

Holdalls, luggage, backpacks, oversized bags, cushions, explosive materials, flammable liquids, glass, cans, bottles, lazer pens, video/professional cameras (unless accredited media), laptops, iPads, golf umbrellas, anything that can be used as a weapon and illegal drugs or substances, alcoholic beverages, signs, banners, flags, animals (except service animals to aid persons with disabilities), air horns, whistles, cowbells, projectiles (frisbee, beachballs, footballs), aerosol cans, fireworks, confetti, glitter bombs, balloons, any food, masks/helmets, large studs and chains and football shirts, scarves and insignia.
