Six Under 16s and four First Year Scholars were on the pitch for an especially young Stevenage side and after Drilon Krasniqi put Boro ahead just before half-time, it looked like a routine win was on the cards.
That was until Posh equalised on the stroke of full-time, extending the match for another 30 minutes, but goals from Jack Moriarty and Liam Smyth in extra-time secured the victory to set-up a home tie with Aston Villa in the Third Round.
