Co-op members can support Community Kitchen project

15 October 2019

Local Co-op members have less than two weeks left to show their support for Stevenage FC's groundbreaking Community Kitchen Project...

The Co-op Community Fund allows members to choose a cause, so that 1% of the money you spend on selected Co-op branded food products and services, goes to that cause.

Stevenage FC Foundation's Hannah Marsh runs the eight week course, designed to help families learn how to cook healthy, simple meals without breaking the bank.

Community Kitchen puts the fun back into meal times with quick and easy nutritious recipes for famiilies with children between the age of 5 and 12 years old. The two hour sessions will take you through all aspects of planning, preparing and cooking great meals by giving you key tips to take home and replicate recipes.

Additional support around managing food budgets, food hygiene and leading healthy active lifestyles with simple steps in a group environment is also provided.

The Community Kitchen is an incredible project and one that has already had huge success, including a nomination for Professional Community Project of the Year at the 2019 prestigious Hertfordshire Service to Sport Awards.

But in-order for it be the best it can be, it needs more funding which is why we are encouraging local Co-Op members to choose the Community Kitchen Project as its Community Fund cause.

Please click here to support the Community Kitchen cause now. The deadline to do so is Saturday 26th October 2019.
