The experienced central midfielder made 44 starts for Boro last season, but chose not to agree a new contract in the summer due to personal reasons.
He has been training with the team this week and caretaker Manager Mark Sampson and assistant Alex Revell acted quickly to add him to the squad so that he is available for this Saturday's trip to Forest Green Rovers.
