Following a visit by the Building Inspector late yesterday, Stevenage FC is disappointed to inform North Stand Season Ticket Holders that the North Stand will unfortunately not be operational for the Club’s forthcoming EFL League Two home fixture against Cambridge United this Saturday...
Chairman Phil Wallace stated, “We are really disappointed as we have worked so hard to provide everything the relevant safety authorities want. Many of the points highlighted as outstanding will be completed by the weekend, but this may be too late for the Safety Group to sign off.
"Rather than not know until the last minute, we have decided to postpone the soft opening this Saturday and are instead focusing all our attention to be ready for our next home match against Grimsby Town, open to Season Ticket Holders only.
"If that goes well, we would hope the seats and concourse will be fully open to the public when we face Morecambe in the next home game on 26th October, with the conclusion of the sports bar following 4-6 weeks later."
As per previous fixtures this season, North Stand Season Ticket Holders can obtain a complimentary ticket for the West Stand or East Terrace from the Club Shop or Ticket Office in advance of the match upon presentation of their Season Ticket Card.
The Club Shop/Ticket Office is open from 10am-7pm on Thursday 26th September and 10am-5pm on Friday 27th September 2019, as well as on Saturday between 10am–3pm.
