Drysdale has refereed nine EFL matches this season, handing out 33 yellow cards in that time. 10 of those came in his last fixture, a 2-2 draw between Scunthorpe and Oldham.
The Lincolnshire-born official took charge of two Stevenage games last season, the 0-2 home defeat to Forest Green Rovers and the 2-1 away win at Mansfield Town.
He will be assisted by Simon Shaw and Richard Morris whilst Mark Russell has been appointed Fourth Official.
