Stevenage FC Academy's Talent ID sessions have spaces available for U7s-U12s...
Running on Wednesday evenings, the sessions are aimed at players who would like additional coaching to develop the technical side of their game with a view to being considered for Academy football.
These new technical sessions are part of the Academy Pathway and are coached by Academy staff, following the same syllabus as the senior Academy sides.
Players are expected to continue playing for their local club but train with Stevenage FC Academy once a week, for coaching and assessment. As participants improve, they will move up the Elite Player Pathway, with the hope of progressing into one of the Club's Academy teams.
The schedule for the sessions are as follows:
- Weds 4:30-5:30pm – U7 and U8s
- Weds 5:30-6:30pm – U9 and U10s
- Weds 6:30 7:30pm – U11 and U12s
There is a monthly fee for the sessions which works out at £32 a month (£8 a session) for the provision provided.
Throughout the season, players will receive written reviews which are given to monitor the performance of the players and identify areas of improvement needed to progress up the pathway, ensuring they are always aware of what is needed in-order to continue developing.
The Academy has had real success with players progressing through the pathway in recent times, with numerous Academy signings having started their journey participating in these sessions.
