Stevenage FC can confirm that after being unable to agree terms on a new contract, Michael Timlin has left the club...
The club would like to thank Michael for everything during his time at the club, and wish him all the best for the future.
Upon saying farwell to The Lamex Stadium, Michael Timlin sends a thank you message to all Stevenage fans:
"I am extremely sad to be leaving the club due to not being able to agree fresh terms moving forward, but not for the want of trying. I want to thank you all for your support.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my spell back at the club, and am sorry that I am not going to be part of the fight with the rest of the boys in climbing the table. I have no doubt that it will start happening. It is a great group of players led by a strong management team.
Thank you for the opportunity of playing for your club! I want to wish everyone associated with Stevenage FC the very best for the rest of the season."
