Final Survey Reminder to 2019/20 Season Ticket Holders

9 July 2020

2019/20 Season Ticket Holders are to be reminded that the Club must receive their survey response as a matter of urgency...

Stevenage Football Chief Executive Alex Tunbridge has written the following note to all 2019/20 Season Ticket Holders following the curtailment of the 2019/20 EFL League Two season.

Dear Season Ticket Holder,

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 the Club has faced multiple challenges which have had a significant effect on our financial position. These include the loss of match day income since mid-February, the closure of our Academy and Conference & Banqueting facilities, as well as our inability to sell season tickets for the 2020/21 season. To date we have utilised as many lifelines as possible to keep the Club alive including EFL loans, rate reliefs and the furlough of the majority of our players and staff.

The EFL have now confirmed that the League Two season will be curtailed based upon Points Per Game and with no date set for the start of the 2020/21 season, we face a difficult financial landscape.

Therefore, I am reaching out to all 2019/20 Season Ticket Holders to ask for your support in relation to the games from the 2019/20 season which have been cancelled due to the unforeseen pandemic.

Whilst we would love to be in a position to offer pro rata refunds for the 6 cancelled games, we simply do not have the funds and therefore we wish to seek your support by providing you with the following options:

  • Option 1 - Donate the unused value of your 2019/20 Season Ticket to the Club in-order to assist us during these difficult financial times.

Everyone who donates using this Option will receive 1st priority for a 2020/21 Season Ticket. Whenever we go back, we expect a significantly reduced capacity and will have to allocate tickets. This option will guarantee that you are one of the reduced number of supporters that will be allowed to watch future matches. In addition, you would be entered into a prize draw to win a free Season Ticket for the 2020/21 season, as well as other prizes including a Hospitality Package for 4 and a signed shirt.

  • Option 2 - Request that a credit of 6/23rds of your 2019/20 Season Ticket is applied to the purchase of a future Season Ticket.

Everyone that takes this option will receive 2nd priority for a 2020/21 Season Ticket.

  • Option 3 – Request that the value of 6/23rds of your 2019/20 Season Ticket is exchanged for 6 single league match tickets for the 2020/21 season.

Everyone that takes this option will receive the ability to purchase 6 single league match tickets of their choice.

It is expected that entry to 2020/21 matches will be prioritised to those firstly selecting Option 1, followed by Option 2 and 3, then any other supporters purchasing a 2020/21 Season Ticket (subject to availability). Should further capacity be available SA Members shall receive priority to purchase single match tickets, followed by the general public.

In order to register your preference please click here. The deadline for all registrations is Friday 10th July 2020.

I would like to thank you for your support during these difficult times and hope we are in a position to welcome you back to The Lamex Stadium at the safest possible opportunity.

Yours in Sport,

Alex Tunbridge

Chief Executive

In relation to supporters who have purchased single Match Tickets for any of the final six games of the 2019/20 Sky Bet League Two season, supporters will be able to exchange their tickets for entry to a  future home league match. Further information regarding this process will be announced in the build up to next season and supporters are requested to keep hold of their tickets/proof of purchase.
