Volunteers needed for Careline Sandwich Service

6 July 2020

Stevenage Football Club is appealing for volunteers to help deliver Sandwiches to the local community as part of the Club and Foundation's Community Careline service...

Now running for 15 weeks and having delivered 11,545 sandwiches, the Coronavirus Community Careline has been serving Stevenage residents in the form of daily lunch deliveries, prescription pick-ups and help with running errands, in addition to a friendly chat service that helps lend an ear to those struggling during the pandemic.

The lunch service is delivering over 100 sandwiches to the community on a daily basis and with the need for a free meal and daily conversation ever-growing, so has the need for more volunteers.

If you would like to register your interest, please email with your personal details and which days a week you are available to help.

Please note, a full driving license and vehicle is required and Personal Protective Equipment is provided to all volunteers, with social distancing rules adhered to at all times.
