Four Stevenage players called up for International duty

Four Stevenage players have been called up for International Duty by their respective national teams...

Terence Vancooten has been selected by Guyana for their 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup two-legged clash with Barbados - away on Thursday 26th March, with the reverse fixture taking place in Leonora on Wednesday 1st April.

Should the Golden Jaguars progress to the Second Round of qualifying, Trinidad & Tobago then stand in their way as they aim to recreate last year’s feat of Gold Cup qualification for the first time in their history.

Northern Ireland have called up David Parkhouse and Academy graduate Liam Smyth for the Under-21s and Under-19s respectively.

Sheffield United loanee Parkhouse joins the Green and White Army as they take on Ukraine in Lviv on Tuesday 31st March, looking for their first win in Group 8 of the 2021 Under-21 UEFA European Championship Group Stages.

Smyth will join up with his fellow countrymen for a Training Camp in Lilleshall ahead of this summer’s Under-19 Euros, hosted by Northern Ireland themselves.

Meanwhile, January signing Patrick Reading has been called up to the Scotland Under 21 Squad, ahead of their European Championship qualifiers at home to Croatia on the 27th March, and away at Greece on the 31st March.
