As part of Stevenage Football Club and Stevenage FC Foundation's Winter COVID Commitment to #TackleLonelinessTogether, we are in need of budding pen pals to older members of the local community...
Over 900 Activity Packs are going out to people living in Sheltered Accomodation across Stevenage over the coming months and we would love to also send out as many pen pal letters as possible to help strike up some new friendships within the local community.
"Winter can be a difficult time for many people, especially for those who may be living alone and feeling isolated, Hannah Marsh, Foundation Health & Wellbeing Manager said. "We want to try and ease some of the loneliness people may be experiencing and that is why we are asking our fantastic supporters to put themselves forward as pen pals."
To get involved and send out a letter, please email it to chat@stevenagefc.com or send it in the post to Stevenage FC Foundation, The Lamex Stadium, Broadhall Way, SG2 8RH. Please make sure to include a return address so that a response can be posted out.
