The experienced left-back originally signed on loan in the Summer, but both clubs have now agreed to cancel the agreement and arrange the permanent transfer of the player.
“We are delighted to sign Ben,” Alex Revell said. “If we could have signed someone of his quality in the summer on a permanent deal, we would have jumped at the chance. He is a top character, player, leader and professional so it is a real positive move for us.
“He is settled, he has moved his family down and we want to show how much belief we have in him.
“We know it has been a frustrating time for him with injury but now he is back, ready to go and we have to get him on the pitch and playing again because with him in the side it will make us better.”
