Stevenage Football Club has agreed terms with Brentford to sign Arthur Read on a season-long loan…
The 20 year old midfielder came up through the Luton Town Academy before signing for Brentford in 2019 to play for their Development Team.
“I am really excited to be here,” Read said. “I found out about this potential move about a week ago and I spoke to the Manager and since then I have been really excited to come. He has spoken to me about what he sees me doing and what he wants the team to do this season and it was all really positive.
“I am really looking forward to Saturday. It has been a long time since everyone has played in the league and hopefully we can get off to three points.”

He is an energetic, dynamic and tenacious midfielder who is left footed so adds some real balance and quality to our side. He arrives from a team where energy and the way they play aligns with what we are about so he fits right in.
