John Busby has been appointed Match Referee for Stevenage’s trip to Wiltshire as they face Swindon Town in a Sky Bet League Two clash…
The referee has taken charge of nineteen games in the EFL this season, which have included several Sky Bet Championship contests. In total, Busby has dished out seventy-eight yellow cards along with three reds. His most recent EFL fixture was a Championship clash between Nottingham Forest and Hull City, in a game where Forest won 2-1 and seven yellows were handed out.
The last time he was the man in the middle for a Stevenage game was in November 2020 in the FA Cup first round. Stevenage came up against Concord Rangers at the Lamex Stadium, defeating the non-league side on penalties after the game finished 2-2. Four yellow cards were handed out that day including one for Arthur Read.
Busby will be joined by assistants George Byrne and Matthew McGrath with Alan Young as Fourth Official.
