Say Thank You to our NHS Heroes

25 January 2021

Stevenage Football Club is pleased to announce its continuing support for the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity’s #HereForEachOther appeal which was first launched in March 2020 to support NHS staff and patients in response to the COVID-19 pandemic...

The NHS Trust which manages the Lister, New QEII, Hertford County Hospital and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre is continuing to work incredibly hard to deliver extraordinary care to local patients under extreme and unprecedented conditions.

Stevenage Football Club recognises the NHS’s phenomenal hard work and continual efforts, so is are calling on the local community to get behind their fundraising appeal to purchase complimentary snack boxes and hot drinks, to boost staff morale during this difficult time.Meals for Heroes Long.png

During the Summer, Stevenage Football Club delivered over 15,000 sandwiches to staff at the Lister Hospital, but due to current restrictions, visitors are not allowed onto the site. The Trust team will work with the on-site catering team to provide the refreshments, allowing everyone to stay at home, stop the spread of the virus and protect the NHS.

A £10 donation could help fund over 3 ‘Smile Packages’ as a way of saying thank you to NHS staff. This small gesture will make a world of difference to the staff and will let them know they are being supported by the local community.

There are just over 6000 staff members within our local NHS Trust so we would love to raise in the region of £12,000 so we can send a thank you to all of our Heroes.

To donate visit www.enhhcharity.org.uk/hereforeachother or text HERE4EACHOTHER to 70085 to donate £5.
