Online Community Kitchen Classes starting next Tuesday

13 January 2021

Stevenage FC Foundation, in partnership with Stevenage Borough Council's Young People's Healthy Hub, is restarting its acclaimed Community Kitchen classes next week to help teach young people and their families how to cook healthy, simple meals...

Starting on Tuesday 19th January 2021 from 4:30pm-6:30pm, the eight week course is completely FREE, including all ingredients and food needed, and open to any young people & their families in Stevenage.

The course is run by Stevenage FC Foundation's Healthy Lifestyles Manager, Hannah Marsh, who has been helping the local community learn how to cook since 2018 through the Community Kitchen Programme.

"We are delighted to be partnering with the Young People's Healthy Hub to be delivering this new online version of the Community Kitchen Programme," Hannah said. "If you are a young person or have a young person in your family, who you think could benefit from this course to learn about healthy food choices and how to cook them into delicious meals, then I would encourage you to sign up for the course, which is sure to be a lot of fun."

To sign up or find out more, please call the Young People's Healthy Hub coordinator on 07810154851 (Tues-Thurs, 3:30-6:30pm) or email yphealthyhub@stevenage.gov.uk.
