Stevenage Football Club has signed young forward Jacob Bancroft from Oxford City, whilst Luis Fernandez is going in the other direction, re-joining the Hoops on loan until the end of the season…
Bancroft, 19, arrives from the National League South side whom he joined in September 2020, after being released by Swindon Town, where he played in the Youth Team since the age of 14 years old.
“I am really happy to get this opportunity,” Bancroft said. “My only goals are to work as hard as I can, to help the team and to do my best every time I get on the pitch. I will take every opportunity I get.”
Alex Revell said, “Jacob is a young and exciting prospect. He has shown in the National League South that he has talent. As a Football Club we need to develop that talent and help him further his career as a professional footballer. We are excited to work with him and see where the journey takes us.”
