Carabao Cup and Papa John's Trophy Opponents Confirmed

Stevenage Football Club have been handed a mouth-watering Round One clash in the Carabao Cup, as well as a welcome tie with regular Lamex tenants in the Papa John's Trophy...

Alex Revell's men will take on neighbours Luton Town in the first round of games in the Carabao Trophy, with the tie due to be played week commencing August 9th 2021. However if mutually agreed, the two Clubs are permitted to arrange the tie between July 31st and August 4th.

It will be the first time Stevenage face The Hatters since the 1-1 draw at The Lamex in 2018.

In addition to the Carabao Cup draw, it was also revealed who Boro will face in the Papa John's Trophy. After pre-determined opponents of Cambridge United and Oxford United were announced on Wednesday, Tottenham Hotspur Under 21s were added into Southern Group H at Thursday afternoon's draw.

Tottenham Hotspur Under 21s

Stevenage will play against each of the three teams once, with the top two finishers in the group progressing into the knockout stages of the competition. Fixture details will be announced in due course.
