Charlie Carter Signs New Contract

26 May 2021

Stevenage Football Club has agreed terms with Charlie Carter to remain at the Club…

Since signing from Chesterfield in July 2019, the attacking midfielder has made 60 appearances for the Boro, scoring 10 goals across two seasons.

The 24-year-old was the Club’s top goal scorer in the 2019/20 season and was on course for another remarkable campaign this year, before injury struck and ended his season in February.

“I am delighted to extend my time at the Club”, Carter said. “It has been a stop start season for me but now I can not wait to get going again, and I am over the moon to get it sorted”.

“Talks with the gaffer have been very positive. He has told me what he wants from me and how I can continue improving. For me, I need to believe in myself, and the management team believe in me so that is why I have signed here”.

With the confirmation of Charlie Carter committing himself to the Club, Alex Revell’s squad continues to evolve as an ambitious and growing outfit, after the additions of Jake Taylor and Arthur Read earlier this month.
