Elliott List wins Player of the Year Award 2020/21

13 May 2021

Forward Elliott List has been awarded Stevenage FC Player of the Year 2020/21...

With a career high goal tally of eleven, Elliott List's performances this season have earned him the title of Stevenage FC Player of the Year 2020/21.

Having fought off close competition in Terence Vancooten, who himself had a season to remember, List adds the award to his three GCIS UK Player of the Month victories across the season.

"I am absolutely buzzing to win the award", List said. "I have won a few Player of the Months, and this just tops off a great season. Since January we have had a really good turnaround, and this just tops off a lot of hard work. I just want to say thank you to everyone who voted.

It has been my most enjoyable season, most goals I have scored, played the most games I have ever played. It had been a great season, especially after the last one. I feel like we have put pride back into the team, back into the Club."

Since January, Elliott List has often been paired up top with ex-Gillingham strike partner Luke Norris. "Luke is a great lad, I have known him for quite a while now. I am always trying to learn from him, learn around him. He is a great player and has a good footballing mind. He is a pleasure to work with everyday.

The turnaround has been brilliant. If the season started in January, we would have been in the play-offs. That is just the way it is, but it looks good for next season".
