Stevenage supporters can now vote for their GCIS (UK) Ltd Player of the Month Award for April...
The highlights of the penultimate month of the season include away wins at both an ex-Premier League club and our fierce local rivals, as well as a goal of the season contender.
Our shortlist for the April Player of the Month award is as follows:
- Luther James-Wildin: A regular fixture in the Stevenage side this season, Luther James-Wildin only missed one game this month through injury. His boistering runs up the pitch from right back continue to threaten defences, whilst his defensive reliability ensures he is a rock at the back. A thirty-yard strike deserved more than the result at Salford earned - another one to add to his outstanding goals collection.
- Chris Lines: An ever-present in the Boro side through the month of may, Chris Lines has continued to prove why Stevenage were to eager to sign the midfielder in January. Add excellent performances from the middle of the park to his two set-piece assists, Lines is sure to be a favourite for the award this month.
- Jack Smith: After missing for some time during the middle of the season, Academy graduate Jack Smith has worked his way back into the starting eleven towards the end of the campaign. Man of the Match performances against Mansfield & Cheltenham have proven why the midfielder has such a bright future ahead of him.
- Luke Norris: Another January signing with another deserved Player of the Month nomination. Luke Norris has been integral to Stevenage's goal tally since the turn of the year with seven since signing, two of those in April - including the all important winner at neighbours Cambridge United.
